I didn't see any topics about Venezuela in the search, but if this has already been brought up, please link me.

Anyways, I've read the Wiki and CIA articles, but I want to know the Leftist opinion of Chavez. Has he helped out the people? Has he reformed it to Socialism at all?

Any other information about the Left in Venezuela would be great.
