I am new here, so I will briefly introduce myself.

My name is Zach, and I live in the US state of Minnesota. I have been anti-capitalist for some time, and I have gone though a good deal of stages, and I have finally ended up at genuine Marxism/Trotskyism. I used to be Stalinist (from ages 14 to 15, and I started to oppose Stalinist ideology after reading about how Lenin was for Trotsky and against Stalin. I was more of a Utopian socialist until I had started studying dialectical materialism at the age of 18. I will be 20 years old in September.

I decided to look around for other leftist sites so I could discuss more things. I am from the YFIS boards (my username ther is Volkov. Note: I did not know about the existence of Trotsky's grandson back then when I chose that name, so I am not aiming at personality cultish tendencies or anything like that), and there are good discussions there. I guess I came here as well, given that the YFIS boards are not all that active at times.

I am affiliated with the Committee for a Marxist International (CMI) (leading theoreticians are Alan Woods and Ted Grant), and I intend on joining the Workers' International League (WIL, i.e. US section of it) soon. I am not affiliated with the Committee for a Workers' International (CWI) . No offense to any CWI members here, but I find the CWI to be quite sectarian.

I noticed that some also went on a similar path. Stalinism almost seems like an infantile disorder for some people as myself. My path to Stalinism was probably due to frustrations I was having in my teen years (I was realizing some things, such as how the US is not really free, how the US is really imperialist, etc., and I mainly went to Stalinism because I was amazed at the USSR's growth. I backed away from it after reading what Lenin though of Stalin). My Stalinist days are over. I would have gotten nowhere if I remained a Stalinist.
