Near me there are two KKK groups and one neo-nazi group. I actually read quite a bit on these groups in the local newpapers.

I dont think we have groups like the KKK and National Alliance in Britain and that is kind of a double-edged sword. On one side its good because it means that the far right are not organised (apart from the NF, BNP, C18 et al who have little power and little influence) but it is also bad because we cannot identify ultra-rightists as groups, and individuals may go unnoticed until its too late and another black person, homosexual or other member of a minority group is murdered in cold blood.

The Jewish Defense League is a group that has the main objective of protecting jews from anti-semitism of all forms. They are considered to be extremists by many. Though I have never heard anyone call them a hate group before I saw that website a few years back.

The JDL is a terrorist organisation founded by Meir Kahane, a notorious racist who also founded the Kach (http://cfrterrorism.org/groups/kkc.html) movement. They have committed many acts of terrorism over the past decades, mainly against Arabs and Soviet institutions.

Jewish Defense League is a misleading name, since they also target Jews who oppose their racist ideology.

The so-called "New Black Panther Party" has nothing to do with the original Black Panthers, and virtually all of the original Panthers will have nothing to do with it. This group is headed by a longtime and well-known cop-funded agent provocateur who calls himself "Malik Shabazz".

These are the fuckers who went to the April 2002 antiwar demonstration in Washington, D.C., and physically attacked antiwar protestors, as well as attempted to march in the demonstration carrying pictures of Osama bin Laden.

I wouldn't even dignify them by putting them in the same category as the Nation of Islam (which really does not belong on this SPLC list). They are a cop-front organization, and should be treated as such.

All hate groups have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics.

This could easily apply to Communists or Anarchists. Especially the RCP.
