Hello,

At univarsity this year one unit i studied was sociology and we discussed feminism and also the inequalities men face. For the course work one of the books i read was by a feminist and mens activist called warren farrel. I think he is lib fem in his opinions. In the book, The Myth of Male Power, he basically says that men too are victims of gender, but because this is largely ignored men (in the west anyway) suffer in a more harmful way. he talks about working at dangerous jobs because they pay more and being forced into the military/being drafted, higher suicide rates and about dads not being given equal access to their children. I think as he is feminist he sees gender as the primary aspect in society which causes all the main problems, not class. What i am asking is are these problems that he cites because of class and capitalism? how do marxist feminists and regular communists explain them? Although i found this topic really interesting i was not able to fully research it because of the narrowness of the course work question. Also do communist and anarchists see class as the only form that oppresses people? and is race and gender ect aspects of class?
I hope you people can help me on this.

Thanks in advance.
