View Full Version : 5 Ways to Make Revolution
novemba

I'm currently in the process of making a poster (that will hopefully become a series) that will be distributed all around the internet, especially to street art websites. This sounds great, but I have one small issue...the name of the series is '5 ways to Make Revolution' but I figured it'd wouldn't be true if I created them solely on my own...so I need YOUR help. What I would like you to do is post 5 ways that you make revolution everyday, wish to make revolution, or invision people making revolution (theory). Anything from attending rallies to starting street battles with cops is graciously accepted.
Thanks, Necro........

How about,
1. Think
2. Plan
3. Organise
4. Fight
5. Win!
Not very practical but its a starting point for discussion lol.

THATS IT!!!
If you publish five topics entitled as above with different agendas each month or whatever then you can keep a constant way of keeping interest, giving solid advice, leaving room for colour and not just flooding the page with writing, and also making it easier to find what you need to know.
eg.
1. Think
Write an article on the problems of capitalism
2. Plan
Write an article on how to gather support, ie. meetings and flyers
3. Organise
Write advice on how to organise events without getting into legal trouble. Give advice on how to avoid police hassle etc.
4. Fight
Tactics and methods of protest
5. Win!
How to consolidate gains in propaganda and also publish actions done by other groups because of these posters.

I would suggest trying to get other people to help you. Maybe you can form a radical art collective with some friends, or advertise it in your locality/uni/college. I am sure there are other people as equally as radical who enjoy art/poster making. You could also think of new projects and continue it.

There are a lot of things to do. Protests and sit-ins just don't do it anymore.
1.) Fight
Destroy all property that exploits workers as long as you can.
2.) Write
Write polemics against capitalism, write books, just WRITE.
3.) Free your mind
Assess the world around you. Think of the social boundaries we make, and then break them.
4.) Free others
In a calm and peaceful way, discuss revolutionary topics with others.
5.) Get heard
Go and do whatever you can. Then, search out projects to help with, build a repertoire with activists, and start soemthing.

Well, yeah, but generally, I think; FUCK THAT. That's a really stupid main-frame to follow. "It has to be THIS, oh, five number's, how fuckin' catchy." Riiight...so, goin' along with your stupid ass trend (no personal offense :D ) I'd say we'd snuck in a one in-between organization and action. Preparization. Naaaww, Californication! :cuba:
Seriously, 'tho. Recruitation, maybe? Criticazation? ;)

You cannot make a revolution. We need to clear ourselves from that illusion. We can do so much:
1. Socialize : connect with your colegues at your workplace or school/colege, recognize a potential revolutionary groop
2. Organize : organize into a revolutionary group, connect with other revolutionary groops, share support
3. Educate : yourself and others, amongst yourselves, write, read, form study groups, formulate your theory, counter counter-revolutionary and anti-scientific thought
4. Agitate : activate amongst the working class, help their organizations and help them organize, spread insight, by leaflets, posters, pamphlets, show your support to the class and how you are always behind them, not in the front; insist on necesity of revolutionary action of the masses
5. Activate : do not assume political leadership but stay in constant contact with the goals of the masses and their pursuit for political domination, maintain democratic mechanism and fight against counter-revolutionary insurrection, trade-union bueraucracy and against stalinist and maoist groops who tend to create a situation suitable for their petty goals; be the first militant part of the masses

There will be no revolution in the U.S. The working class does not reside here in signifigant numbers. What true revolutionaries in the U.S. must do is:
1. coordinate with revolutionary governments (Venezuela) and undermine all military actions in those areas. This means violent. This also means accusing, every soldier that picks up against a revolutionary, of killing freedom. Everyone has the freedom to choose to fight.
2. Produce literature undermining the concepts that have solidified capitalism's hold on the psyche, such as democracy and free market. Without the use of anything associated with Marxism.
3. Attacking the left viciously. Through their ineffective policies they have become not only complicit in the crimes of capitalism, but endorse it as well.
4. Either destroy or completely reform the Communist party. They have stolen the ideology of communism to endorse Kerry. They are one of the worst enemies. They are Mensheviks, and negotiators. They desire change only to the point that it does not change their hegemonic status.
5. Be prepared for a war against a country such as Venezuela and be prepared to resist it by any means possible.

No, but a revolutionary situation does not become a revolution without the right direction.

I agree. Most Americans are middle/upper class "liberals" and are WAY too comfortable in their consumerist lifestyles to ever support The Revolution or anything of its sort. The Revolution will come, just maybe not right now.
Global Solidarity will win the Revolution. Wait til our oil is gone and people start to LOSE their money, and realize that corporate greed gets the world nowhere. Then, there will be much more "working class" type folks in America. THEN, we can call for Global Solidarity, and people will realize that this is just what they've been looking for with their declining economy, unjust wars, dependency on foreign oil, corporate greed rampant, etc. It will hit 'em like a ton of lead. This is where and when we will win support for our cause.

Decolonize The Left
27th August 2005, 07:43
Ok, I've got some thoughts for this. Firstly, I assume this is only a poster, not a philosophy, because if it is it needs be be thought through a whole lot more than one thread...
For the poster though, I would say the star is a great idea (personally I'd color it in two, black and red, diagonally with red on top).
5 points:
1. Education
2. Organization
3. Unification
4. Uprising
5. Revolution
Revolution at the top, the start with education and move around.
But this is only for the poster, the revolution will not occur if the left (not Democrats, I mean this left) doesn't unite. And this unification begins with education.
I will post a new thread to begin this unification, it will be in the Theory section.

There is poverty in the US too so shut up. Yes you have the suburban dudes, but even they have revolutionary potential.
