I can see that the last action on reading material threads is two weeks old, and not even the last chapter was discussed.

I think it's time to move forward. By now I have two suggestions from me and comrade SirAuntyChrist.

Everyone who feels like joining in on the next work can give his suggestions for the reading material starting now!

In reasonable time or when I see enough suggestions I will start a new poll.

GO!

My proposal: Georg Lukács' "History & Class Consciousnes".
It is an important key to understand dialectics and insurrectionist thought.

"I think its one of the single most basic and important text to really understand the point of stuff like projectuality, coherent theory, anti-politics and other insurrectionary concepts at its most basic level: through the dialectical relationship between theory and practice." - http://anti-politics.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6146

Interesting, thanks.
What do you mean by 'insurrectionist thought' ?

I'm going to suggest a couple of brief articles; even together they're much shorter than some of the other suggestions.

They're all on the theme of conflict between the U.S. and European imperialists, which is again one of the main contradictions in world politics today. And on the subject of European unification, which obviously is a big issue today.

On the Slogan of the United States of Europe (http://www.marxists.org/archive/lenin/works/1915/aug/23.htm) by Lenin

Is The Time Ripe For The Slogan: ‘The United States Of Europe’? (http://www.marxists.org/archive/trotsky/works/1923/1923-europe.htm)by Trotsky

Europe and America (http://www.marxists.org/archive/trotsky/works/1926/1926-europe.htm) by Trotsky

To some extent the first two are taking different positions on this, though they're not directly in debate (being from different times.)

I've put on the first two together, just so we encourage the people to make more suggestions and to participate. I think i'll be enough.

Hm.. are you sure that Lenin link is working ? It won't open for me.

I suggest Wage-Labour and Capital (http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/wage-labour/index.htm) or Value, Price and Profit (http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1865/value-price-profit/index.htm) by Marx
