Any fans of Damian Marley?

I just started listening to his music, and it's very powerful. His song "Welcome to Jamrock" has been a hit for months on hip hop stations here in the NYC area. His videos are even more powerful. They have tons of heavy Rastafarian imagery, the notable besides "Welcome to Jamrock" is "It was written."

Welcome to Jamrock has caused a stir in Jamaica recently because he doesn't portray Jamaica in the resort place pepople normally see. He sings about the slums of Jamaica, and the crime, and the indifference of the upper class of Jamaica. Good stuff, I listen to the song at least once a day.

Man you're lucky, I wish I could live in a city where Damian Marley was played on the radio!

Also it's nice to see you back.

They play it here in NC every once and a while, but I heard them say he was Bob Marley's younger son, couldn't tell if they were joking or not, is this true?
