pretty much the school systems in america need to change the fact that I have to recite the pledge of Allegiance and stand for the National Anthem, cannot express my true views about our government and the people who run it why im not allowed to express any view that isnt considered politically correct crap Ive gotten write ups for trying to talk about evolution! What have we come to such a hypocratic nation that while our mouths are held shut by someones hand they speak for us!!!!!!!!!!!!! evolve revolutionize And by god stop trying to suspend me because I wrote in a note that America was nothing but a corporate whore! Its the truth! Dont try to sexpel me because I wont stand for your stupid Pledge of Allegiance one that your own President(all hail the thief) wont keep!! okay ive ranted and raved i hope you got the point

hey you dont have to say the pledge the supreme court decided this i belive in 1948 when some Jehova's Witnesses said it was against thier relegion. where the hell do you go to school if you get in trouble for talking about evolution? do your teachers make you say the pledge?
if they do just dont stand up or say ity be like Ghandi.

A short-term solution: Stand up, but don't say it, simple as that.
On a similar topic... when I was younger, I had to attend Church with my family because my grandparents were believers. Myself, I'm not Christian. So when I didn't have a choice as to whether I went or not, I would stand and sit and kneel, etc., when it was required of me, but I would not say any of the prayers, psalms, etc., when everyone else did.
You would not be betraying your belief system, but you wouldn't be making yourself appear so obviously against the system that it brings unwanted negative attention towards yourself, either. While that's going on, work in the background to find out where you stand and what you can do about it properly.

You're switching between your intended audiences quicker than the weather, hon. I understand you're referring to your teachers in the first bit (highlighted in green), but you sound like you're ranting at us instead, because you close the post by addressing us (highlighted in red.) Or if the last bit was addressed to the teachers it was rather pointless as they'll not likely read your post. Might want to consider carefully wording any future posts so we don't get the impression that everything's our fault - just a friendly suggestion.

nah i wasnt ranting at anyone really just very angry at the whole ignorance that brought it on I mean yeah I could stand there and shit for the pledge of Alleigance but that would be like backing down like taking it and saying yeah you guys win but someday if I have kids and I try to tell them never ever back down from what you belive in wouldnt that be a little hypocritical? because in my past I did back down from something that was very very important to me

I am upset too. Not standing will lead to detention, suspension, and eventually expulsion in my school. I am unable to express my views. According to the school board, the reason is that 'political influence' is not allowed in school. Of course, niether is 'religious influence', yet the Bible Club is acceptable in school. However, I have been trying to start an activist club; my efforts have failed. They also have no problem allowing the marines and army officers into the school to attempt to recruit students. And if political influence in unnaceptable, why do they force us to pray to the flag? Just a thought.
