I believe if Americans don't get involved with the Middle East and the people of Middle East have revolutions and put a side Islam, we will be just fine. Just look at Cuba. They didn't get help from the Rednecks and they did just fine. I mean people say Cuba got messed up by Communism but then its not true.
I am from Iran, a country of many rich natural recources, such as oil, gold, silver, leather, zaffron, khaviar, and other things. If the money of these recources made doesn't get swollowed by the Ayatollahs for their own interests, we will be just fine.
Iran's situation is very different than any other country in the Middle East. Iran can not be changed by bombs. Iran can be and will be change by a revolution in the next 10 years in my opinion. But this revolution will only lead to more Islamic BULLSHIT if America doesn't keep out or if the people don't get religion out of there heads.
This is how I see it.

i agree with you. America is the main problem and i think without their interfearance iran would do just fine. Its Americas fault that iran is in the mess it is now. When Shah was in power it was America that brought Khomeyne into Iran and put him into power.
I think America are scared of Iran, they know what we are capable of and they dont want us to grow because they see us pose as a threat to them.

But I think, overall, it got not much to do with Iran in itself, but with a general way of doing "politics" by the U$...: today it happens to you, tomorrow it could happen to me.

Politix, I too hope the day will come soon when the Islamic clergy will all have to board the same flight that the Shah had to take.

But I'm also worried. From what I have read, the students and other reformist elements in Iran SEEM to want some kind of reapproachment with the United States. (I hope I'm wrong about that!)

Europe, yes. The Europeans have their problems, but I think they'd deal with a new Iranian regime on a basis of RESPECT.

Whereas, as an American, I can tell you flatly that if the U.S. is allowed to get its hooks into your country again, they will fuck you over even worse than under the Shah. The U.S. has never RESPECTED any other country...if they get the chance, they will loot and plunder the absolute shit out of your country!

If I could, I would tell your people: yes to modern civilization, yes to trade with Europe, NO to the fucking USA!!!

I HOPE my worries are groundless...but I fear the worst.
