I'm quite interested in to the ways Communism could come forward through today's Capitalist society. Could someone explain or provide a link to an article that explains how Communism could exist in the western world & what steps would have to be taken to do it?
Thanks.

I personally don't think it can come about in today's society. But then not so long ago - before WW2 - many couldn't see how it could not.
Whatever the case, I think it will take at least 50 years until anything is possible - if at all - by which time society may not even closely resemble today's.

It is just my opinion, but I don't see communism (in a traditional sense) as existing anywhere in the world. I can see a form of socialism, and some forms of communism in many parts of South America, and maybe even in Canada. But they will be recycled, modernized forms of these. Nothing wrong with that, actually, things would have to be changed to exist today. The advances in technology and communication have already changed the world we live in (some would say for the worse), and would actually be of benifit to any revolt and regime change in any country today. A communist society today would not resemble that in the history books. It would be a working, peoples society, but would have a different path of income, and progress. It could happen, and as I mentioned, would probably happen in the southern americas first.

It is human nature to be negative. Leftism will rise and communism with it.

It could happen but not for a while and most likely not in North America or Western Europe, people are just too pleased with the way capitalism is working. The support for it in the US is high, with a reasonable level of poverty and the happiness of knowing you can get what you want with a swipe of that plastic. The US has always been anti-communism and pretty much anti-change; when rights for all races was an issue, even northern states were failing to help the people gain their rights, especially with all the murders that happened then. Eventually, some countries in the world will be tired of capitalism and institute change, that time my friends is when the revolutions shall begin....

Communism will not come to america or the western half of europe for a long time. Right now capitalism's power lies in the cheap labour of the third world, until that is destroyed, until the third world declares economic independance and throws off the shackles there can be no change. Once the cheap labour and the exploitation of the third orld is gone, capitalism will capitulate, because it will no longer be able to sustain itself. Once the nikes are made with expensive american labour, no one will afford those shoes for exa, ple. thus the inherent contradictions of capitalism will manifest the, selves and then we can hope for some progress.

No problem for it. It is required only to replace the private(individual) proprietor of means of production with the collective proprietor who work on that means of production directly, and to change socio-productive relations, i.e. that collective owners don't engage themselves as labour force on labor market for wages. So .... no problem except very important one - the lack of working mechanism of distribution of made production between collective owners under communist relations.
If you would solved this problem you would won nowadays.

If you try to destroy capitalism by violent acts (with revolution) without created working mechanism of distribution of made goods between members of commune (before the revolution) you will be forced to use monetary system and will get market proletarian socialism either social democratic type or stalinist type because the first type has a tendence to be more bourgeois and if counteract it so you will be forced to use stalinist's methods (fixed wages, gulags, etc.) .
