These guys obviously have no clue as to what they're talking about, but I just thought I'd let someone a little more eloquent and well-read handle it....

They actually have a minimum post requirement that you must meet before you can post a link??? That's quite stupid. I was going to post a link to my article on the Zapatistas, giving their Good Government Juntas and autonomous councils as promising examples of how decision making would be carried out under Communism, but I don't meet the "post a link requirement."

I once visited some kind of anime forum, where there was some guy/girl who had 167:000+ posts. Hell, I doubht have a quarter of that, all my posts at every forum combined.

That christian forum was pretty scary though. Aren't there any larger international leftist forums than Revleft? Cause we are pretty many...

You may have to have a post requirement to post links, but not citations...

Hmm, I didn't find that particular link too frightening. One Christian actually made a point of saying that the USSR and the like were not communist! I'd say that's a pretty good first step!

Holy fucking shit that is a LOT of members.

On a lot of forums I have been on, however, there are usually a few hundred people on. RevLeft needs to attract more lefties.

On perusing that thread, though, I found that most people knew that communism wasn't what the CCCP was.

Thank God.

Indeed.

No, and I'm registered there (Aduro Amnis), I lost any real interest in the site about a year ago -- it became a breeding ground for mass agreement on conservative doctirine rather than any real debate.

Yeah, some of the crap on that site is pretty scary. But some of it is quite hilarious. For example, they have a "How would Jesus vote?" Thread. The person who made the thread/poll said it was meant to be "semi-serious" but people are posting crap like "I'm sure Jesus would never vote for the democrats or anything left of."

I brought up depleted uranium in the current events forum, called it a "weapon of mass destruction" because of its use in Iraq and other places, and though a couple of people disagreed with me calling it a "WMD," they expressed real concern about its horrible effects. A few others however, made it seem like a joke and that it didn't matter. Quite "loving" for a group of "moral, ethical, holier-than-thou" bible pushers. <_<
