it's been going on for a while now. you can request all information be withheld, but if you've gone to school longer than 3 months I would say it's already too late.

In my school in New York we were given out papers that asked if our parents were ok with giving our information to the military recruiters. Of course I made sure they would get nothing from me.
There is this one school very near to two housing projects that frequently has miltiary recruiters, and I think we all know why. Most of those kids have no future and they prey on them constantly. It has to be a great place to recruit peole to fight "their" wars.

you are very dum, it give kid who have no future to be learning the discipline and hard work and earn money for the unviersity

The vast majority of the kids in the housing projects have no future so they have nothing to loose by going to the army. These kids are indifferent to just about anything slightly related to education. These kids don't want to be in high school and the recruiters know it so they continuosly send recruiters to get the kids to join. What they learn isn't discipline, it's to bow down to authority and to do what is told to you. I'm not saying that the amy should be democratic, because that wouldn't work in a true crisis.
The high school I'm reffering to is Long Island City High School in New York City. They are far below the standards in most catagories

Only 15.6 percent of seniors pass the Sequential 1 tests
passing is scoring a 65% or higher
Only 45.2 percent of seniors graduated within four years.

The entire NYC average is atrocious these are the city averages:

51% of seniors graduate within 4 years
20.4% dropout
28.6% get left back or graduate through summer school

Yes it is bad, it's just as bad as blind faith. The military isn't a place to think for yourself. You just do what is told, you don't stop to think if what you're being told to do is right or wrong. You should always ask questions and never follow the leader without knowing what the leader is up to. The military is the exact opposite.

I'd also like to call something else to everyones attention notice that Ackbar wrote sense two different ways. Yet he meant them bith in the same context. I Bow 4 Che may be right, he could be a fake.

the goverment has interest in the fact that people join the army, especially when poor ppl do. first when there is an army their friends who funded there campaign can sell weapons( friends=weaponfactory owners).

second they get rid of the poor ppl who die in the war. so they can legaly claim that capitalism does work. look how great this nation is we got no poor ppl!!!

the kids in the high schools only dont want to learn because they learn economics that arent correct, and especialy poor ppl know. ( capitalisms makes everyone richer for example).

or that there envoirment doesnt stimulate them to learn because of the opionion of most ppl tells them that they are scum, who really need to find the reason of their poorness in themselves.

or that ppl realize that education that isnt at all based on the idea to let ppl think for themselves, simply is bad. and that they no longer need to be part of it.
