I plan to record another version with an original beat that will be similar, but better. If my vocals are unintelligible, I can supply the lyrics.

I'll hopefully have a better version soon, which more rythm to my voice (too monotone) that version is called Book I.

Not bad but just try to get more flow going. It sometimes sounds like your trying to catch up or squeeze in mor ewords then neccessary and also it sounds like spoken word at parts.

This is a pretty good song. Just try to get the lyrics down with the flow of the song, it seems off, but just by a little bit. It seems like you're talking more than singing it.
But I love the beat and the info that you provide.

Yo, I dont wana slag on ya but the flow is wack to non-existent. It was almost jus' spoken wurd. I like the sparse beat though.

I know, my voice is all monotone and shit, I'm working on making it more rhythmic. I have another with a sitar in the beat, but I can't get it from the tape onto my comp. Sound recorder disappeared, and I need a new program similar to it, and i would have to be free. Cam't find one- anyone have any reccomendations?

I would recommend Wavepad. It's the same one I use, and it's great. I believe that it's free... but I can't remember if it was completely. But you can find a crack anywhere...
Best of all, it's unlimited recording, unlike those shit 2 minute max recordings.

great stuff, bro.
But the tempo can be faster.....take less breaks, .... and you rap too slow. Still, I think you did a great job!
(Maybe you can write more lyrics ... so you can rap faster within the same time frame?)

You sound like you are reading from a book, which makes the whole thing sound like you are just realing off political dogma. But it's nice to see you are having a go, work on it dude.

Thanks, it's good to know that people like the song. I stutter, and when I rap my vocal chords don't really do what I want them to, and it seldom comes out sounding how I want it- but I got another son that has a sitar in the beat, and I'll post it her as soon as I can. Peace.

The beat is cool. But like everybody said, don't sound like you're reading the lyrics from a book. Even so, it's nice. :-)

....uh, A for....effort....?
Some artists to study in this order.
Run DMC
Ultramagnetic MC's
Big Daddy Kane
De La Soul (3 feet high and rising)
A Tribe Called Quest
Jeru the Damaja
Common Sense (Resurrection)
Blackstar
Percee P
Aesop Rock
That should give you a pretty good grasp on the evolution of flows in hip-hop, for a little different route insert early Busta Rhymes in between ATCQ and Jeru. Pull up lyrics and flow with them, it helps.
