Red Faction 2

I wasn't sure where to put this, but on TV I've seen adverts for a new computer game, called Red Faction 2. It's tagline is "Join the revolution"

The first one was pretty good. I never finished it though. Something strange happened and I found some sort of alternate ending. Seems to come from a communist stance - A workers' rebellion.

Yeah, the first one is some intergalactic proletarian revolution of sorts. You're an oppressed Marsian miner who joins a militant workers rebellion against the bourgeoisie. Pretty bad ass idea, I think.

It's a pretty cool game... got nothin' on Halo though.

In the sequel you join a faction that trys to overthrow the dictator (based on Stalin) of the people's Commonwealth.

I'll be getting Red Faction 2 when I can.

I still play Red Faction online regularly. And the storyline to the game itself is great, but I never finished it, because i got stuck in one part, where I couldn't find a keycard. :

Nope, but that's a good thing. I bet there are many people who play the game, that wouldn't even have a clue that they were helping a socialist rebellion (even though it is virtual). :cool:

i just rented the game (the second one), didn't get extremely far on the single player, very bad ass game

aside the fact the game is RED Faction - convieniently set on the RED planet, the obviousness of opressed workers overthrowing the bourgeoise is pretty basic.

sweet game. I like the plot, along with the fact that you can blow thru walls. Heh heh, I gotta have something cool looking along with my smart revolutionary stuff.
