I uploaded some music to share with folks at a music forum I frequent and figured I might share with you guys.

This band is pretty fuckin amazing. They have really impressive guitar skillllzzz and they're punk. It's like the best of both worlds. Really original shit, IMO.

I'm downloading Adventure now, when it tried to download Marquee Moon it came up 404...

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this as I plan on doing a mix CD of "proto-punk" bands, e.g. bands that weren't quite punk for various reasons but helped kick start the movement, so stuff like Television, Iggy And The Stooges, Velvet Underground, MC5, Patti Smith, etc.

I've listened to the first two songs of Adventure and it seems pretty good, not amazing though. In so far as proto-punk goes I'm still more of a Patti Smith fan.

Marquee Moon is strictly regarded as their best album... by far.

Can you explain to how you posted this?

I often find myself wanting to share some of my favorite stuff with the fine people on this forum. There are far too many people out there with bad music tastes (bad meaning pop/top 40 crap, not bad as in I don't enjoy it), I think we'd be doing a great service.

I want to post "Heart of the Congos" (by the Congos) and some Trojan reggae comps. You'll never listen to Bob Marley's "Legend" again.......

select the songs you wanna share, right clik on the selection, scroll down to Send to, select Compressed (zipped) folder
your computer will do something which will take a few minutes with the songs... I really have no idea what

go to yousendit.com, follow the instructions, and select the zipped folder your computer made with the songs you selected

put your own e-mail address in the box
yousendit.com will send you an e-mail with a link on it to download the music

post the link here

the upload might take a few hours
