Found this in the Socialist Group over at MySpace. It's a pretty cool alternative source of news from leftist reporters, bloggers, and pundits.

Appeal to Reason was originally founded 1897, as a socialist journal that contained an array of articles and commentary from notable radicals from throughout history. It began as a humble, hastily drawn-together underground newsletter that lifted information from the works of people like Tom Paine, Karl Marx, and Friedrich Engels. At the time, it served as excellent resource for radicals around the country, providing a forum for those desperately seeking a means to communicate with one another over the issues of their time.
It was under these very same circumstances that the Debs Tendency of the Socialist Party resurrected ATR. We are standing at the forefront of a revolution in how we receive our news. People around the globe are challenging the power structure held by corporate-controlled media conglomerates, finding new ways of communicating through a myriad of mediums. We, the people, have become our own reporters, editors, and pundits.
So let us unite, and contribute information freely amoung organizations and individuals alike. The bloggers have nothing to lose but their chains, they have a world to win.
