Can anyone tell me what the whole point of the movie was. One moment they are getting all political and then they are having sex. Makes little sense to me.

the point of the movie is to see a nephew fuck his own aunt (*disturbing) :(

I personally never understood the supposed "depth" of it...just seemed like ppl are always fucking.... I wasn't crazy about it, I preferred Amores Perros..

I prefer it to Amores Perros because the story about the model in the latter film is totally boring. The film is about growing up, it does observe some political things as well but that is another part of the film

It's not supposed to have a "point".

I think it was all summed up in the end, when they mentioned something about life being unpredictable as the oceans, so we should give ourselves away like the waves.

Basically it was a coming-of-age movie. I liked it a lot, but Amores Perros was a lot better.

A coming-of-age film including a lot of sex with everyone and everything. Kinda funny though i thought.

I've heard nothing but great things about that movie. I really need to make an effort to get my hands on it.

In other words, life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. Or have I gotten it wrong?
