I love this music. the arabic language is beautiful, and even though you don't know the language, it's fun to listen to.

I like Nancy Ajram (lebanese) , Amr Diab (egyptian), and some others.

Try Umm Kulthum. She was unquestionably the most gifted singer and musician of the last century in my opinion. Her songs are nothing less than epic and measured in hours, not minutes. To give you some kind of idea of how well known and beloved she was to the Arab world, her funeral was attended by over 4 million mourners, one of the largest human gatherings in history.

Between the Arab pop in the Cairo taxi's and the dueling minarettes, I don't feel the Arab language is "beautiful" at all, it's really very aggressive and loud.

Egytians are annoying. Egyptians accent is somewhat like a really fast southern accent to someone from california.
