Wouldn't it be nice to see another large demonstration that actually accomplished something? Sort of like n30 but with a big twist.

You mean, like 9/11?

No. Not like 9/11. That wasn't a demonstration. Well yeah I guess it was but it got their country(s) invaded and many civilians killed on both sides. I just want another n30 : <

;) :o  <_<

Battle of seattle. Showdown in seattle. 'Five days that shook the WTO'
N30 stands for november 30th (1999) and it was quite impressive. It was the 90's throwing a going away party for itself.

Why do you hate the working class?

They love globalization. They think it's helpful to them.

But don't let me take your martyr off the cross or anything, we wouldn't want facts and the opinions of the poor to matter, we have an ideology to pimp.

Socialism/Communism is always for globalization, regardless of what they will tell you. They want a world where everyone is a communist, culture and freedom be damned.

Communism is an economic system.

I wouldn't say the working class loves globalization.
What country? How can you be sure the majority loves it? And as a side question what do you all consider the working class?

Demonstrations are nice, but a small section of militant protestors can't change the capitalist system. Yeah - they can be a good way to raise our demands.

poor humour, I presume.
If not - you should go and join the workers in these countries perhaps. Though I'm not sure if the idea that globalisation is "helpful" for them will be very popular in alot of those Latin American countries, comrade! ;)

A world where eveyone is actively and consciously a communist?
Sure, it's a nice idea, but unrealistic. A world where communism allows everyone to live their lives and participate meaningfully in real situations? Hell yes!

Communists are very much in favour of globalization - in favour of meaningful exchange without borders, without intolerence, without neo-colonialism. What communists, and progressively minded people in general, oppose is Corporate Globalism and squeezing the third world to support the decadence of the first.

Oh, seriously though, fuck culture.

I don't consider anything after n30 to be significant at all. So what I mean is why has the population suddenly become content?

But neither your latest comment nor anything you've said previously has any relationship to what the left is actually like...even at its worst.

You simply have no idea of what you are blathering about.

And this very assertion would be up to debate had you not locked my thread; you seem to be very convinced this is true, but very unwilling to defend your position. A dissonance of cognitions, perhaps?

And nothing is addressed concering censorship.

Well, in fact, it is, I will take up this cup..and the sword! ;)
Ipso factos, the thread was not locked because "we" (I don't identify myself with leftists as a group, but, what-the-heck, I stand up for'em, o'right? As invidual inside-or-out of it.) were afraid to get "exposed" by havin' no answres to your arguments, but because 1. Of the topic's didn't have a debate, the second, as I see it, were a smearin'-thread, and the 'debate' in there weren't a debate but a conversation. So, though call. As for the censorship, yes, I'd like less "censorship", but as far as I can see, everyone can view the topic's still, so it's not to 'hide' dissent, but it's just to stop the talkin' of it. Simple :D
