View Full Version : Do communists share their wives?

I'm discussing communism with a guy in a forum. After several mail exchanges he asked me if I didn't have any honor, because according to him, communists share their wifes and families others.
This is just an example how people are unaware about what communism is. For that guy, it's just sharing his wife with someone. And it's almost impossible for me to convince him that communism has nothing to do with his wife.

No, you don't share wives, they aren't objects or tools you lend to a friend, women are equal as you, me, and the guy down the street. You can't force them to do anything they don't want to do :che:

Tell the guy that he's an inbred fucktard and that when the revolution comes he's going to be one of the first against the wall. After that, inform him that his vacuous mind has just cause your IQ to drop 10 points and you consequently will never speak to him again.

No, I own my wife so I get to do what I want with her, just as the Soviet Union did all the time. As a matter of fact, why limit it to my wife, why I as a communist own everything...now get off my internet! It's what communism is all about: private property!

But you Communists would introduce community of women, screams the bourgeoisie in chorus.
The bourgeois sees his wife a mere instrument of production. He hears that the instruments of production are to be exploited in common, and, naturally, can come to no other conclusion that the lot of being common to all will likewise fall to the women.
He has not even a suspicion that the real point aimed at is to do away with the status of women as mere instruments of production.
For the rest, nothing is more ridiculous than the virtuous indignation of our bourgeois at the community of women which, they pretend, is to be openly and officially established by the Communists. The Communists have no need to introduce community of women; it has existed almost from time immemorial.
Our bourgeois, not content with having wives and daughters of their proletarians at their disposal, not to speak of common prostitutes, take the greatest pleasure in seducing each other’s wives.
Bourgeois marriage is, in reality, a system of wives in common and thus, at the most, what the Communists might possibly be reproached with is that they desire to introduce, in substitution for a hypocritically concealed, an openly legalised community of women. For the rest, it is self-evident that the abolition of the present system of production must bring with it the abolition of the community of women springing from that system, i.e., of prostitution both public and private.

If your wife wants to be shared then that's her perogative. Why shouldn't she be?

If the male is "shared" likewise, why the hell not? Cyclic, Work-around-the-clock Relationship's, anyone? ;)
'Course, we're not talkin' doin' like a pimp here, just voluntarily letting yourself be "lent" away to some other poor lonesome guy/gal. You don't have to, but it sure as hell helps some people's self-belief that someone's interested in'em, and the exchange doesn't even have to be scheduled that a man/women who's in pair at that time does it at the same time so the other's not jealous. I wonder myself how the hell this would work out, none to stop the switchin' :P

Or do wives share their husbands? Just by the fact you saying that communist men should share their wives is very patriarchal of you. But anyway women do not share their husbands nor do husbands share their wives.
In a communist society there will be "free love" that means that relationships should be free and voluntarily.
Also this is my view I don't know if anyone share's this view with me but If my girlfriend or I saw someone attractive and wanted to sleep with them while still being in a relationship together I would see this as ok to sleep with someone else while still being in a relationship.

Indeed they do.
Sometime in 1919 or 1920, the New York Times reported, with complete seriousness, that the USSR had "nationalized all the women" there.
Makes you wonder...how did that dumbass rag get such a bloated reputation as "the newspaper of record"?

This guy you are arguing with is quite the joker. I mean seriously, one can't be absolutely serious when saying that. This guy is obviously just trying to get you riled up, so he tries to make the most outrageous statements about communism.
Let the revolution sweep him away. For his mind is not capable of joining the revolution.
