Only one type of Cicada lives for 17 years and I'm pretty sure it's in North America and Cicada's are nothing like flies.

Komodo Dragon is definitely the heaviest lizard around now, but it isn't the longest. The Crocodile Monitor can grow up to 15 feet I think, but most of that length is tail.

I do aswell. Don't fight it!
Another interesting fact I know is that there is a type of Greek drink that gets you wasted when you drink it, and when you drink water the morning after it hydrolyses some indigestible chemical in the drink, and gets you pissed a second time round.
That sounds like some good stuff to me, shame my sister drank it all before I could get my hands on it. <_<
