Someone I know through the local politics has appeared on Redwatch. He's one of my mothers friends and I told her and shown her that his name and picture appears.

He's a nice guy, who doesn't seem to me to be the toughest of guys. I was wondering whether it would be better to tell him and have him worry or not tell him. I would only not tell him if there was little chance of him being attacked.

So what I was wondering was if anyone here had been targeted and if there is a real possibility he would get attacked?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would tell him, he needs to know that he’s on the site. Two guys from my college are on Redwatch, I think they have been on the site for half a year and nothing has been done to them. I think its only a small number of fash that actually carry out the attacks, most of the time I think it's just to scare us "Reds".
But if you’re getting worried you should contact "Antifa" they may be able to help you with a few questions or just generally help you out if you're mates on Redwatch. Click the link in my sig that says "Antifa Britain" at least if you contact some Anti-Fascists they maybe able to help you out with dealing with the situation.

If you mean the one based in the U.K. they include pictures of famous trade unionist leaders - which I find amusing.
i'm told that they log information about your computer when you visit that website.

I'd probably tell him - if he's mature enough to understand and not over worry.

Who logs info from your computer? The government? I've herd that they have had a problem with Fash on their site or something like that.

Anyway if Antifa can't help just start up you're own group of Anti Fash and go after them before they go after you.

There have been incidents where info on Redwatch has lead to attacks, for instance a couple in Leeds had their car firebombed by the fash. But in the main such attacks are rare.

I'd be concious of it, as I'm on it as well. But I worked in Oldham for a couple of months, right in the BNP heartland, and nothing ever happened to me. Don't worry too much, but just be aware of it.

I've already tried google and got nothing. Where is the Amerikan version I want to see if I'm on.

edit: never mind I found it. But only the UK version. If someone could give me a link to the US version it would be much apreciated.

This kind of stuff is very amusing to me.

Fascists think that they are so cool by having info to attack commies. They think that communists would never dare defend themselves.

If I saw a fascist trying to attack me, what would give them the upper hand?

More bullshit from the Maoist School of Falsification.

Hey, romanm, why don't you go work for Fox News? You'd fit right in there.

When I came down from the G8 summit, I went on the Redwatch site to see if anyone had been put on it from the G8 summit, It would most likely been that Redwatch would have gone up to the G8 summit to take pictures of so many reds. Me and a few friends stumbled across a Celtic Rangers firm!

Anyway I think there are a few things you should do to prevent you're self being on Redwatch:

* Always rag up if you going to a demo or do some action, put a scarf or a bandanna across you're face where a baseball cap or a hood. It doesn't matter if you look suspicious it's better to be suspicious than end up on Redwatch. If you wear black it is most likely that you will fit in with the rest of the activists.

* Don't bring I.D with for the simplest reason if you get cornered by fash and they check you're wallet they will know who you are and where you live. The same thing for when coppers catch you. Simple really, everyone should know this.

* Be weary of photographers, if you see anyone clicking a camera go up to them and interrogate them make sure you have comrades to back you. If you do find out that it is someone from Redwatch, well do I have to say?

* Travel in numbers not on your own when going to a demo.

You guys will probably already know this but I thought I would mention.

The thing is the guy I know isn't even a Marxist. He's a Green Party member, who sells Tuppaware (I think.)

A real REVOLUTIONARY.

I had a look at Redwatch yesterday. They've labelled any Socialist organisation pro-IRA and there's even a picture of Michael McGimpsey - a leading Ulster Unionist. Hardly a Red.

I'm surprised their going for a Unionist seen as Fascist Nationalists tend to be Unionists themselves. That’s really weird, why have they done that? I thought Redwatch would have gone for Irish Republicans rather than Unionists. That’s really puzzled me and something I'm going to investigate.

Heck, I have even made a topic (On RedApollo) with my picture - I look even kinda freaky, perhaps it'll scare them off from pickin' me! - callin 'em for trouble. I have yet to see my picture on RedWatch...but I doubt anyone would care to come to Norway fer me. I'd whop their ass, seriously. Skinny guys fight 'till 'they burger ;)

As for you, Donnie, be careful. These ain't just the thang's to "snoop around" on. These facists may be poop-minded and even wak-ass prep's but they seem to mean war and are organized in numbers. Al'tho they are cowards at hart. And, ah, carry something hard (not your dick, idiot!) and a scarf coverin' ye facet, 'tho most of the time's, pictures of people's too blurry to identify, as it's made in-speed :P

I think it was actually a picture of the Anti-War Rally in Belfast a few years ago but does the fact that he was in the picture not make him a target and show the indescriminate hatred of these people?
