AUC or FARC

[Colombia]

I am currently having a debate with fellow Colombians as to whether or not the FARC or the Autodefensas kidnap and kill more people in Colombia. He has shown me this to prove me wrong http://www.paislibre.org:8080/archivos/autor2003.htm . If anyone can provideme with a source that says the Autodefensas kidnap more than the FARC that is not a communist website, would be thanked.

I can't even read that "chart"...the numbers are just randomly scattered all over the screen.

Maybe you should start by asking him to reformat that chart in a legible way.

This report (http://web.amnesty.org/library/index/ENGAMR230042004) from Amnesty International doesn't discuss numbers...but is quite clear about who the bad guys are in Colombia.

I heard from Human Rights Watch, I think 75% of human rights abuses are carried out by the AUC. I can't remember the exact percentage but it was definitely the AUC who carried out the most abuses for one group.
