for all you non-US residents, today is elcetion day in the US. i suppose you already know that thanks to imperialism.

anyways, i just thought i would take this opportunity to *****. today we decide which shit-bucket will replace the old shit-bucket. don't get me wrong, i love democracy, but a representative democracy is a joke.

basically, the government awards everyone with one vote.
they dont get to keep the vote, they must give it away.
whichever politician has the most votes gets real power.

in otherwords, you dont get to use power yourself, you only get to choose who does get to use it.

its like deciding which trash can to throw your money in. but god-forbid, you keep the money your self.

voting is power!!
elections are not!!

Your not even actually voting for a president, your voting for ELECTORS. Bush actually lost the elections by 500,000 PEOPLE votes, but he beat Gore by less than 10 ELECTOR votes. That's pretty fucked up. That is no democracy at all.

We aren't a democracy.

We are a republic, and an oligarchy and plutocracy but not a democracy.
I guess if you say you are something enough times, people will believe you after a while.

I think I am going to start just punching people in the face and when they ask me what I am doing, I am just going to keep saying I am a pacifist and see if they buy after a while.

What's this plutocracy mean? I've heard it alot.

But yeah, I agree, how can Bush tell Arafat that his people aren't democratic? If he messes with the Palestinians any more.....

Plutocracy is rule by the rich.

I like to think of the current two-party american system as a consented plutocracy.
