lol The teachings of Mao. Personally I dont know a whole lot about it, I've never read any of his stuff, but I think the focus is more on peasants and the rural revolution or something like that.

Maoism is the idea that in this era of Imperialism the revolutionary potentional is in the least developed countries and not the most developed countries. So it believes that the peasants and working class of the oppresed nations in the 3rd world will have a revolution first.

The other addition to Marxism-Leninism that Mao contributed was that a new bourgiose can rise in the Communist Party. Thats how he explained the revisionism of the USSR. This lead to the idea of cultural revolution.

That is the basics, but there is also a whole way of thinking about the world through Maoism.

So maoism believes in hierarchy?

I think you misunderstand - it believes a new bourgeoisie could emerge within the communist party, in a "socialist" state, and that it had to be actively combatted. He held that cultural revolution, and active proletarian struggle in all fields, (ideological, etc.) toward authentic socialist ends was necessary to prevent revisionism (and state-capitalism).

Maoism doesn't actively believe or disbelieve in heirarchy - but Mao held that ultrademocracy is a weakening force is proletarian struggle.

So maoism believes in hierarchy?

'fraid so. Not just hierarchy but a highly strengthened and repressive hierarchical system which is called totalitarianism. So like, a nicer hierarchy where all those people who didn't like what was happening to them or their country could be brainwashed and made to like it.

For the post above; ultrademocracy read "any say by the common person whatsoever".
