It's all about the National Front and their opposition in 70's Britain. I mentioned it in a thread in opposing ideologies so thought I would ask if anyone has seen it. It's really good. They kind of incorporate live gigs into it. Very clever, and the message of the film is great.

Odd film, a combination of social commentary, drama and documentary. It's from the perspective of a disillusioned, drunken adult-bookstore clerk who becomes a roadie for the Clash, believe it or not. Priceless moments abound, really, including drummer Topper Headon kickboxing wearing a Kill Bill-style gold sweat suit. Overall it was pretty bad though.

Damn, I had been hoping to see it, and hoping it was gonna be kick ass.

The Clash are just about the only big punk band that I enjoy.

oh its an awful film, the clash had alot of problems with working with the film crew, and ray didnt really like how he was portrayed in it. I think the film was more organised between CBS and Bernie Rhodes, so i dont think the band were in on the decision making. The sound got fucked on the live parts and so they had to re-record those parts which further pissed off the band, filming was broken up by the band moving from place to place aswell. Toppers 'bee suit' i just plain dont understand. and the blow job in the bogs, gosh how uncooth!

Best line though 'they're dancing! not fighting! being shouted by mick
