I just been reading that "Audioslave" gave a big concert in the Cuban capital city Havana. They are the first American rock and roll band to give a concert, it says here. Anyways,,it sounds cool. By the way,,what do you all think of'em? :)

I saw it on FUSE. Good stuff. I enjoyed Chris Cornell sitting in John Lennon Square/Park.

Are their lyrics at all similar to Rage Against the Machine? I wouldn't know since I listened to any of their songs indepth. They don't sound as musically appealing to me as Rage Against the Machine was.

Audioslave are far from political but I know Tom Morello is still committed to using his money to help fund grassroots organizations. For example, Morello and Serj Tankian of System of a Down started Axis of Justice, a social justice organization and monthly radio show (here's their radio archive. (http://axisofjustice.org/radio_archive.htm)). As far as Audioslave, I'm not into them at all. I don't like the way Chris Cornell sings, and I don't like the words. They don't sing about anything.

I still miss Rage Against the Machine. They would have really pumped up Cuba :che:

Yeah, its sad that RATM broke up. But on a lighter note, at Audioslave's Cuban concert they played the Rage classic, Bulls on Parade.

I heard that all members of "Audioslave" are ex-members of "Rage against the machine" except the singer. The main vocalist of Rage against the machine will go solo. So why didn't the other members kept the name "RATM". Why Audioslave?

What's the source of the name by the way? Anyone got any clue?

They couldn't even function in a conversation by the time they broke up. That's how bad it had gotten.

I would much rather them be broken up, than continuing for the wrong reasons.

This concert pissed me off for the reason the Audioslave covered RATM songs. When you have a new band, you don't go using material from a member of your old band (Zack).

Its not a bad thing to cover those songs, but i think that the members on this board is a bit over-sensitive on this issue, and maybe a bit over-dramatic.
