Hello.
Since I became politically aware, I've been trying to talk some sense into the people around me. Living in the American South, sense seems to be in short supply. So I took my quest to end suffering and find Truth online.
Earlier today I was searching around for a message board who's members tended to lean to the left. You see, I was silenced by the supposedly progressive Democratic party. On their message board, I dared to imply that criticism of particular policies implemented by the Israeli government is not necessarily anti-Semitic. And then I was banned from posting there.
I suppose that I'm some type of anarchist in that I am opposed to undemocratic hierarchical power structures in general. In some situations, however, a central (democratically chosen) source of organization is needed to make sure all the processes of a complex undertaking occur in harmony with each other. I'm not talking about the running of a nation state as a "complex undertaking", but rather achieving a very specific goal. Building an airplane for example.
I'm also opposed to banks charging interest. Any interest charge will lead to a shortage of cash in circulation which can be used to pay off loans, thereby guaranteeing a percentage of loans will be foreclosed on (which guarantees that lives will be devastated). If every dollar that exists is owed to a bank plus interest, there will not be enough dollars total in existance for all loans to be paid back.
I'm most certanly not Communist and cannot support a system where I would be forced to rely on anyone but myself.
Socialism seems like Capitalism-lite. It is as if those who benefit from the exploitation of others' labor have used Socialism as a way to justify their own existence through giving charity to those who should never have needed it.
