What do people think about the podcast phenomena? Does anyone here know more about how this is done? Could be an interesting way to reach people?
[A podcast is: "an online audio blog. A broadcast file which is commonly downloaded on an iPod or other MP3 hardware for mobile listening. Can also be played directly from your computer." http://www.urbandictionary.com ]

podcasting is an interesting idea. if you want to make one than sign up at a podcasting site, they usaully can also tell you how to make one. for equipment you need a computer, a decent microphone hooked up to your computer, and an internet connection. im not sure if this helped but good luck

I think I listen to about 10 podcasts a week. It's a great way to learn and keep up.
My favorites are
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History
-because I love history and he does a great job because he's really passionate about it
The Thomas Jefferson Hour
-The people that make this are really into early American history and it's fascinating
The history of Rome
-This is really dry but I like it anyway
Philosophy Bites
-I'm still new to philosophy and they do a lot of quick easy to understand explanations
Big Ideas
-this is a canadian program that covers interesting lectures. They have some great shows
PRI:intelligence squared
-good debate show
The Bugle
-this is the funniest show on the internet. John Oliver and Andy szoltzman(?)
learn Chinese- ChinesePod
-Trying to keep up with language study
I'm looking for more political podcasts if anyone can help me out or with anyother interesting ones.
