As Vermont organizers and activists working for social justice and an
ecologically sound future, we are creating a space for skill building,
strategizing, and networking. We are making time for important
discussions reflecting on the past, assessing the present, and building
successful strategies and tactics for our movements in the Green
Mountain State.

We invite you to join us in a three-day retreat to rejoice, relax,
recharge, and reinvigorate ourselves and our struggle. This year's
skills share will occur August 12-14, on beautiful Wheelock Mountain
Farm <http://www.vtactivistskillshare.org/thefarm.php>, in West
Wheelock, Vermont.

The Activist Skills Share puts anti-oppression, anti-racist,
anti-poverty, anti-ableism, pro-queer, pro-trans politics at the center
of our reflections, discussions, organizing, and activism. Throughout
the event we will focus on how our different identities can function as
both political rallying points and as tools to silence, oppress and
exclude. There will also be an entire set of workshops dedicated to
identifying and challenging oppressive relations within our movements

Over 15 skill workshops are planned for the three days of learning and
sharing. Discussions of identity politics and how that informs
anti-oppression work will occupy the sessions Friday. On Saturday, the
first half of the day is focused on larger strategic and tactical
discussions of importance to our reigon. The remainder of the day
Saturday and most of Sunday will be workshop sessions.

For those travelling some distance, tenting sites will be made available
at the farm on Thursday evening.

Requested Donations:
$15 a day per person Friday-Sunday (includes workshops, 3 meals, tenting
space), $10 Thursday (tenting space). No one turned away for lack of
funds! Childcare available during workshop sessions.
