And you all call yourself revolutionary leftists?! Phil Ochs was probably one of the greatest protest / marxist songwriters of all time! Songs about revolution against the bourgeois, class struggle, labor union failings, civil rights movement, student empowerment, songs against capital punishment, etc. etc.
If you haven't heard Phil Ochs, go get "I ain't marching anymore" and then "Phil Ochs in Concert". Seriously, this is one of the greatest artists of all time.

Yes he was one of the best songwriters the US ever produced. I think he's great.
Why don't people use the search function?? It works quite well.

I did a search for Ochs. It came back with a big goose egg

It is likely that you didn't do a proper search. The default is for the past 30 days.
He get's mentioned in 35 threads (not counting this one) and has two threads, short ones specifically about him, also not counting this one.
I usually list him as one of my favorites and included him in my folk music mix cd that some people downloaded and I believe Red Zepp included him on his commie music mix cd set.
