Oh that's just laugh out loud funny...

What's an actual funny story on the topic of brainwashing is that mind control is extremely easy and only takes 5 hours of contact with a person stretched over three days to begin molding the person's actions.

Or, like what the RAND corporation did for America, with a large enough group you can control people overnight.

Stockholm syndrome my ass.

The only reason this excuse flew was because of who she was. I think this speaks volumes.

The defense did not succeed and she was convicted of bank robbery on March 20. Her sentence was eventually commuted by President Jimmy Carter, and Hearst was released from prison on February 1, 1979. Later she was pardoned by President Bill Clinton on January 20, 2001, on the final day of his presidency.

This is what passes for justice when your daddy is one of THE capitalists. One group of the ruling elite protecting one of their own. I wonder if she would have been pardoned if she was just some random poor kid.

I do like that the ransom money went to feed the poor in the SF Bay area though.

yeah to bad those feedings were poorly organized and two people died during one of them. the sla never accomplished anything worthwhile.

How did the SLA treat Patty Hearst? Did they bound and gag or what?

This is what Ronald reagan had to say regarding the feeding of the poor:

"I hope there's an outbreak of Botulism"

at least 8!

No really the membesr of the SLA are useually listed as Russell Little, Joseph Remiro, Donald D DeFreeze, William Wolfe, Angela Atwood, Patricia Soltysik, Camilla Hal, Nancy Ling Perry, Emily Harris, William Harris, Patty Hearst, Wendy Yoshimura, Kathleen Soliah, Jim Kilgore, Steven Soliah, and Michael Bortin...so 16 members though some of them were active at different times. I got this from wikipedia but i don't think its really something in dispute.

Seriously, how do you go about brain washing someone? That seems kindof like a made up thing to either explain people's ideological shifts or allowing others to escape from responsibility.
