The most up to date collection of writings from Marcos (includes essays from 2004) this is published in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Zapatista uprising. "The Zapatista uprising in Chiapas was certainly one of the most dramatic and important instances in our time of a genuine grass roots movement against oppression. in this volume the writings of Subcommandante Marcos give eloquent expression to this movement revealing both its philosophical foundations and its tactical ingenuity. I believe his words and the statements of the Zapatistas can inspire a new generation of activists and let them understand that it is possible for ordinary people, without military power, without wealth, to challenge state power successfully on behalf of social justice." - Howard Zinn Forewords by Noam Chomsky and Naomi Klein.

Has anybody got this book and is it worth 20 pounds or so?

Woah, I think I might buy that, just as that I am interested in the EZLN.

Seems very very cool indeed.

That does sound interesting. I haven't read it, but if you're interested in EZLN you might also check out Basta! Land and the Zapatista Rebellion in Chiapas (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/093502879X/qid=1121393962/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-3675642-6919965?v=glance&s=books), by George Allen Collier and Elizabeth Lowery Quaratiello. It treats the subject pretty fairly.
