Hello everyone. I'm new, apparently, and would just like to ask for some help. I've been trying to read up on Marxist Theories, Socialism and Communism. The thing is when it comes to politics, I don't know where to start, does anyone suggest anything that can get me started, or keep me up to date? I've been to newyouth.com various times, but any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It really depends on which aspect of politics you're interested in. Or what region in the world. What history are you interested? Like the Cuban or Russian revolutions, or whatever else there is, that you think is interesting. Theres tons of books around about these things, like Russia in Revolution by Michael Lynch is a good informative book about Russia. With Che, well, theres heaps. I know of two biographies but theres probably more!
So what aspect do you want to know about. www.amazon.com is a good site if you just want to type in a subject and it will suggest books for you on that subject.
Does that help?

Yes Thanks. I've been reading some Noam Chomsky just get prospective, and I'm interested in mostly Russian and U.S. History. Or more of Socialist and Communist History, where in orinated and what forms of it there is, and where it is and how its used today. Although, to understand these politics I figure I'd need to learn U.S. politics first. Not sure what direction I'm going in.
