Who cares? It won;t make a difference. When one conservative is kicked out by conservatives, they will replace him with another conservative.
Thats why we need to kick them out ;) .

Details, my good man: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4674617.stm

I doubt he will be fired though, I would guess that the Republicans will try to brush this off, like the did with Tom Delay, as an example of the Democrats playing "partisan politics".

Well if you consider Karl Rove is the one actually running this country it matters. He's Bush's chief consultant, you think Bush knows how to run shit. He just sits there says NO GAYS and then listens to what Karl Rove is whispering in his ear.

and now there is clean evidence that he released Valerie Plame's, a CIA Operative, name. This was because Joseph Wilson, her husband, said that it was highly unlikely that Iraq was getting yellow Cake from Niger.

Bush had said in june of last year that he would get rid anyone involved in the releasing of Valerie Plame's name. Now if he doesnt deliver, thats another lie to credit to Bush.

Wow all the early evidence looked like Cheney released her name. Do you think maybe they figured he was more expendable than Cheney. Rove is used mainly to cheat on elections.

Heh. You bring up an interesting point about this scandal, which was also made by the Christian Science Monitor (one of the better bourgeois papers).

Most people in the U.S. have no idea who Karl Rove is.

Which kinda limits how much mileage the Democratic Party can get out of this scandal.

****

From a principled standpoint, this one's kinda tricky.

On the one hand, clearly it shouldn't be a crime to reveal the name of a CIA operative. Please, reveal 'em all.

On the other hand, it is against the law, others have been punished for doing it...Rove shouldn't be special.

On balance, it might be better if nothing happens to him, that way it'll be harder to prosecute anyone else for doing it in the future.

This will actually have some pretty big affects on what will happen here in the U.S.
A political party is being shown for the liars that they are, and can't defend themselves with "cover up" this time. More people are learning as to who Mr. Rove is, and what his connections are. This will even have an effect on Mexico, as Mr. Rove had huge ties to the govt. there. The Democrats are finally finding a spine, and not allowing this issue to just die. All major problems, like this, have a ripple effect that will touch a lot of what politics are carried out for a while. It may not be revolutionary, by any means, but it makes me smile to see a shit head like Rove suffer. I just hope that they do put him on trial for treason, (as he said should be done in a past interview) and really end this mans life.

Bush is completely fucked withour Karl Rove. Bush gets all of his advice from cheney and rove. he doesn't know how to be the president, so he just lets other people run the country for him. I think bush is just being used by the neo-cons to put a friendly face on their aweful agenda. If they lose Rove, it's all up to cheny. but I wouldn't be surprised if they fire rove and he still use him for alot of things, I mean cheny said he left halliburton, but he is still involved with them.

What is going on with Karl Rove? Right now nothing, but in the comming months he has the possibility to arrested. It is a federal crime to divualge the idntity of a CIA agent. But were Bush and his cronie crooked lawyers will try to use a loophole in the wording of the law. The technicality that might get Rove off is that, she was not a undercover agent. So we will see if democracy and laws in America will actually work. Right now Bush's administration is in line to fall behind Nixon and ahead of Grant as the most corrupt in our nations history.

Karl Rove orginally hails from Utah. He was considered a boy genius, yet he dropped out of college at age 22. He worked in a camagn in Indiana I beleive, where he sent out flyers for a rally of the Democratic oppent which attracted the more unsavory elements of soceity at the time. Then he became president of the young republicans. He worked for daddy Bush for a while on the first Reagan camaign and got the boot. He then ran a congressional camaing in which he planted a bug in his office and blamed it on the democrat. He destroyed Anne Richards in W. governor campaing by start a rumor that she was a lesbeian. By the 2000 premaries, his technique of chacter assasination, when under attack, attack back, the ends justify the means were, and win at all costs were well honed. He spread a rumor by placing leaflets in South Caroliana church parking lots that Mcain had a black love child. He used similar teqniques with Gore and Kerry. The CIA THING Is so him. For more Check out Bush's Brain.

Damn straight! For this CIA thing he should be fired, arrested and tried for treason. Then, in the event he is found guilty, which under the constitution means two witnesses have to testify, he will ethier be sentenced to Life or executed.

OK...but they really don't.

Whether they'll care, after finding out, remains to be seen.

A major implication on this is press freedom....reporters' right not to disclose sources. Here's hoping this one doesn't go to the Supreme Court 'cause this would be a lousy case for that principle. A really rotten precedent could be set...to a lesser extent already has been.

I'd encourage all self-described revolutionary leftists to look at this from that kind of viewpoint, from the viewpoint of principles that affect workers' struggles....not from a Democrats vs Republicans perspective of hoping Tweedledee finally gets in a lick on Tweedledum as if we oughta care.....
