why does extreme left wing ideology have such a bad reputation in society?

i personally believe that we are educated in school to believe that all forms of left wing parties are corrupt.

The Left is perceived as evil because those in power stand to lose if the Left succeeds. So those in power have taught us that the Left is evil. Simple as that.

my history teacher was once a communist or at least a socalist but became disillusioned because of the so called communist nations (USSR and the rest) he critises the nations followed communism but only because they betrayed the left wing ideal. had the same problem they believe that stalinism IS communism. We are educated to reject communists and anarchists as they are see evil, oppressing people when it is people on the far right we should be told about how evil they are

Not really. Jesus was probably more of a social democrat.

He said a bunch of stuff about "sharing" and "being nice" to one another but never had qualms with the government or the concept of class.

Not that you'd expect a religious icon to do that ;)

Sadly that's the fault of the mainstream parties and reformist candidates. For example the ppp(socialist) in Pakistan, and another the Mauritius militant movement(as militant as the democratic party) another quasi-socialist party, in Mauritius.

Yeah, but once a leftist structure for example communism or socialism is implemented, challenging the status quo is like suicidal. Good old Stalin exemplified that fact, as did Lenin.
