this november, we may be in for some shit. the republicans have the majority in the house, they have the presidency, and it's pretty much up to South D. who they vote in for Senate, if there vote goes for the republican canidate, then they will have a majority in the Senate also. back when the nazi's were about to take over, they first gained control over the government, like the republicans are now. i urge the south d. voters to get out and vote and make the difference

FUCK THE REPUBICANS. FUCK THE DEMOCRATS.
Read Ralph Nader's work. Both Parties are the exact same, the only difference is the rhetoric the spit to attract support, donations, and votes. The Republicans speak of family values and small government, attracting support from those in the older middle class. The democrats speak of being progressive and liberal, attracting suppport from the younger college student activist-types and those who care about progress.
In reality, BOTHE PARTIES ARE FULL OF SHIT. Go look up how many Republicans have beaten or cheated on their spouses (family values) or how their war on drugs creates large survelliance and police forces ( small government). Then look at all the democrats who got support and contributions from Enron, Exxon-Mobil, GM, Phillip Morris, and logging companies. Or how many have voted against acts that would create campaign-finance reform, social welfare improvements, or environmental improvements. (progressiveness and liberalism).
It simple to see what they do. They simply look together at the population as a whole, then split it up into different groups and classes. Then they divide and conquer, and whoever ends up with more people, gets control of the government for a couple years. Don't be fooled by their propaganda, they know what to say, how to hit the right buttons, how to when your hearts. As comparing the Republicans to Nazis, your half-right; if you look at the democrat and republican party collectivly, then you have a Nazi analogy.

Exactly Kick! They are both the same! And they go on about this country NOT being separated into classes. Bullshit...this is a classist society and neither party are in it for everyone...just for themselves. DamhsaBean ;)

That is true kick. This so 100% true. I basically think that democracy is just a big fake and that the rich survive and the poor working class sufferrs every moment. and it is true that both parties are the same. they are a bunch of old fucks that are full of shit and a bunch of imperalists.

i know your all right about them being the same, but still couldn't one break away from the other? and just thinking, they could impose so much shit upon us about how great republicans are through different means, and keep winning election after election

btw, nadar isn't a solution, quoted saying "If you're not turned onto politics, politics will turn on you"

The closest thing in this world to the Nazis of olde is Israel; I find that interesting.

No, that's not exactly another anti-Zionist slam. The parallels (in the most accurate use of the word!) are astounding. For example, Israel's Shin Beth is remarkably similar to the Gestapo. Not a direct correlation, but Israel's apartheid of Palestine is remarkably similar and worse in some instances than the Boers' apartheid of South Africa.

As goes the disclaimer that must accompany all anti-Zionist, I am not anti-Semitic, I just felt the need to point out what I found was an interesting analogy.

People rarely remember that BEFORE Hitler and the Nazis came to power, the legal groundwork for dictatorship was mostly ALREADY IN PLACE. On paper, the Constitution of the Weimar Republic was widely hailed as the "most democratic in the world". But, in fact, two YEARS before Hitler came to power, Germany was being run by "presidential decree".

And this groundwork for tyranny was put into place by parties that were JUST LIKE the Democratic and Republican parties in the U.S. And JUST LIKE Germany, the so-called "freedoms" in America are disappearing inch by inch...in the name of "fighting terrorism", "homeland security", etc.

So it's not so much that Bush is a nazi; it's that when REAL nazis come along--and, by the way, they won't CALL themselves that--most of their job will have already been done for them.

(I think the real nazis will call themselves The American Party or something like that.)

er, why wouldn't he be a solution? thats a great quote.
Apathy towards voting in a country with at least the illusion of democracy is only bound to make things worse.

well personally i dont see the quote as great. why does everybody have to be political, i agree that not enough people are, but still...everybody? and if they choose not to make that a part of their lives they should pay? we should all live our lives how we want and if it's not hurting others then who cares.

i agree with you though about voting, and how we need to and what not, tons of people don't vote though because of a lack of choice. although these people shouldn't use this as a reason, just vote for other parties even if they do think its not a possibility their canidate would get elected. but who am i to say anything

Someone who isn't interested in politics is basically useless to society. Is it that hard to get out and vote? I do think the lack of voter turnout in the U.S. shows peoples' dissatisfaction with the system and the candidates, but it also shows peoples' apathy to the world's problems.

well first i would like to say that it is ridiculous and counterproductive to refer to republicans as nazis, cops as pigs, anyone who doesn't agree with us petty burgeoise . . . Look at Reagan in the eighties and the hordes of people he attracted with a simple idealogy that looked to point the blame here and here. Cracking jokes about welfare mother and thier cadillacs, unfounded stories that only served to dehumanize the enemy. Sound a lot like hitler? well it is!! Sound like Leninism? well it is!! compare calling everyone that does not agree with you petty burgeoise, calling jews rats, calling the poor welfare mothers in cadillacs and calling republicans nazis. They are all attempts to dehumanize the enemy to make your ideas seem that much more worthwhile. You can all talk of class consciousness, but as long as you refer to cops as bigs and republicans nazis, we will never go anywhere. If you really believe your idealogy superior, you don't need to poison the well for them. Ideas speak for themselves. That is the first thing i disagreed with in joining this site, how right wingers were stigmatized. Yes, i dislike them as much as the next person, but they need to be given forum to voice thier ideas, so they can disprove themselves. In other words, they don't need any help in looking stupid, don't help them.

And going along with the theme of class conscious, that is exactly what being politically aware is. It is inconceivable to think someone can be aware of politics and not of economics. And being aware of the true nature of economics is class consciousness. Being aware of capitalism and working your day job is much better than being ignorant to the situation (or ignorant to any ideas, really) because no matter what we are doing now, it will only matter in the moment of insurrection. Sorry to burst your bubble folks, buying organic food and boycotting corporations will help, but by no means will solve things. However , eating large slabs of meat and beating your wife and working for the man will make little difference if one is willing to fight against whatever system they oppose in insurrection. I picked such hipocrisy not to condone it or say it would all be okay if "the revolution" came, just to show the only thing that matters is insurrection.

wittyleftistnamehere, cops ARE pigs(in my opinion)
their job is to prevent people from rebelling, from reclaiming their freedom.
Their aim is that we remain the slaves of bosses and governments.
But the most important is that they are one of our enemies. How you name they doesn't really matter.

Anyway, welcome on board!

it's just an immature name-calling game people love to play.

they call us pinko-commie-scum and we call them fascist pigs.

In my opinion, Republicans are pompus, racists bastards who believe in "manifest Destiny" (dumb asses). On the other hand, Democrats although, they at least try to be less selfish, are just a little less worst then republicans because when they achieve "power" they forget where they come from and how they got there. I DON'T support communism, socialism, marxism, etc. for one slight reason: It looks EXTREAMLY well on paper, but it doesn't work because of the fact that we are selfish, egotistical humans. I Admire Che not because he was a "commi" but rather because the man had guts, and balls to fight what for what he believed in. I trully admire his courage. I believe humans should strive to live a more simple life; we shouldn't complicate our lives so much. We should eat to live, not live to eat!
