Well I did a search and couldn't find this thread already existing but if it does can a mod just combine this post with the old thread so at to bump it?
I think that we should have a thread where we can all read a book together then review it and move onto another book in a cyclical manner.
Anybody care to nominate the first book? I thought we could start basic like something by Orwell most people have/want to read and already have opinions on too.
We're reading Engels' Socialism: Utopian and Scientific in the Study Group forum:

I think we should read 'A Brave New World' as well!
2 votes for each so far
i mean we could read either but my reasons are personal ie. i read it before 1984 so it needs refreshing and generally i think it's a better book

we are already reading socialism: utopian and scientific, its under learning, then study groups
^ there's no harm in having two different groups running a different book at the same time. i think the site is active enough to sustain it.

it seems like the froup cote is for 1984 so far so we'll do that as a group and I'll sit it out as I have library fines but I own a copy of Brave New World. Unless you want to leave it open for a while longer by group sonsensus to see if more want to read Brave New World?

Debora Aro:
That would defeat the point of the idea let's just read 1984; I'll sit it out and join in on another one.
