what are the chances that american troops will invade Syria?

its right next door to iraq for those of you who didnt know...and my girlfriend is from syria (beautiful girl)...so i was curious...

For the forseable future it would be near impossible for the US armed forces to mount a campaign where they actually had large numbers of troops on the ground in a wider sphere of operations than they have already covered in Iraq.

yea but knowing that just recently they took over a city in north western iraq...close to syria..what would stop them going farther?


america has shown that impossible means nothing while they have the numbers and the weapons...

so they have troops in syria already or what? according to my girl she said no...but i doubt she knows as much as people here would

Doesn't mean however that they won't make bombing missions in to "soften" them up for the future.

Remember, they did this to Iraq for 8 years before invading.
