The Truth pisses me off.

I posted this on thetruth.com after a pop up came up.

And when tobacco companies start telling the truth we can expect all other capitalists business' to do the same...If you think telling the tobacco industry that they tell lies and they souldnt you'll be surprised how much they dont care. Capitalists dont tell "the truth" get on with your point and use the money to help find cures for cancer not wasting millions on ads directed to people who already know smoking is bad they dont care either. All you guys are doing is preaching the same message over and over im actually sick of the commercials and tobacco doesn't bother me as much as you whining and complaing about lies. Thats how america is get over it. And im not insensitive about smoking my grandfather died of a brain tumor, but that was his choice. But I see the money taken by you to help tell people of the dangers...Really like we didnt know...so get your priorities straight and help fund the cure and not the truth...

So what do you guys think?

LeninCCCP, you are even more right than you know. The anti-smoking crusade has become a major industry in its own right. The American Cancer Society, the anti-tobacco lawyers, the state legislators always ready to raise taxes on cigarettes, the freely-flowing funds to the ad agencies that produce anti-smoking ads, the "scientists" funded to produce fake "studies"...man, it's a whole new era of easy money for a bunch of puritanical bastards!

But that's capitalism for you...with its endless ability to make money on all sides of the street. Sell you a pack of cigarettes one day; sell you a nicotine patch the next, then hit you up for a donation to "fight cancer", and tax your sorry ass all along the way.

It's almost enough to make you believe in conspiracy theories of history. Not enough, mind you, but damn close!

Im only right on some issues because i cant really be left all the time its hard because i totally agree with Marxism and Leninism but my point was would you rather see the money go to find a cure for cancer or to inform people of the dangers. Think about it... Lung Cancer doesnt just affect smokers it affects everyone. If you live in an area were the air isnt really that clean whose fault is it? So before you say im on the right of this issue think of all the possibilites not just the ones you think are right...
