Hey, i'm always interested to hear about other people's new bands and eager to give them a listen to, so any bands out there come here to chat and swap tips etc.

I'm in a band with other forum member, Kitbag (The Black Amnesias) and soon we'll be recording onto a four track some of our songs, i'd be interested to know what some of you thought, and i'm sure Kit would too. So i'm sure we could arrange something when the demos are finished with anyone who wants to give them a listen.

I will have to dig out some of my old bands recordings, if only I could find the C.D. anywhere, very interested to hear what you have. What genre are you mostly playing?

I noticed your screenname, there are also some recordings of myself and frend doing multi-tracks from kid a and amnesiac.

I play in a band called The Halo Effect...we kinda make rocky/darky/grungy music at the moment, but with double bass drums and fancy effects on the guitar.

We got a myspace group with a bunch of acoustic songs on it: http://myspace.com/thehaloeffect

Sounds brilliant. I'd like to hear that. We mainly play alternate rock i suppose, on our site (www.geocities.com/the_black_amnesias128) we list the bands we were influenced by and what we think we sound like. The band me and kit would probably agree on being the biggest influence we both like would be Radiohead, but i'm more into experiemental music such as Mogwai or Boards Of Canada (doesn't stop Radiohead being my fav. band) where as Kit's more into stuff like Elliot Smith and Johnny Cash. I like how we sound though.

I'm in a metal/grindcore/jazz-timing/death band. I am the lead singer and songwriter. We are recording one of our songs right now, and we have started to build a sort of reputation around town.

I'm in two bands.

A rap/rock band called Harvest. It's a five peace with two bass players. Another called Dave Studio which is punk/ska. It's a four peace made up of 4 of us from Harvest and another guy. I play drums and do a bit of song writing when they want a political song.

Our school has a band called Quietus which means death. They are a three piece band at the moment consisting of a Drummer, Guitarist and Bassist. The guitarist is extremely good and mostly plays Metallica. They are competing in the New Zealand Smoke-Free Rock Quest next year like rockfan did with his band Harvest this year. They are currently writing their own songs and looking for a singer.

If their is four of you from Harvest in it plus another guy and your calling it a four-piece wouldn't it be a five-piece (four from harvest plus another guy)

I wouldn't really call it a "band", but I'm working toward a one-man synth metal/goth rock band in the spirit of punk. I have a lot of different styles that influence me, so I hope to make it a pretty collective sound.
