There were 67% in favour of Nice, out of the approximate 45% who bothered to vote. So something like 30% of the Free State population voted Yes.

Seoinin fuckers.

48.35% or something voted in total. With about 1.5m people voting in total. I think it was around 594,000 voting no and 900,000 voting yes.

FUCK indeed. I'm ashamed that the Irish people can be bullied into changing their vote. The Yes campaign was a pack of lies:

1)Ireland's neutrality will be safeguarded by voting yes
2)Voting no stops EU enlargement
3)Ireland will have to leave the EU if we vote no
4)Ireland will be ostracised or sanctioned by the EU if we vote no

The whole neutrality issue is sickening. Claiming that we must vote Yes to safeguard it. It should not be necessary to vote any way to safeguard our neutrality, it should already be safeguarded.

What else sickens me is that there is almost no coverage of the treaty outside Ireland. National governments are essentially passing away people's rights without them even realising.
