That is almost the same thread.

As to answer your question:
Hell yeah.

George Romero mixed zombies and anti-consumerism ideology to make possibly the best film of all time. And now he is taking on American apathy. So yeah I'm watch it.

I'm gonna see it as many times as possible, I loved Night, Dawn and Day and I can only assume this one will be as good, I was really disappointed with the remake of Dawn though, it sucked and it is stupid to make a remake while Romero is still alive.

It was awesome.

I found the way the society had developed once the federal government failed quite interesting, the whole thing was so pro-communism it was ridiculous.

Oh I loved that movie.

No ones going to be able to top that Zombie for years to come,or maybe ever.

Yeah it did have a Marxist allegory in it,even if it didn't mean to. The rich were eating the poor,so the poor turned around and ate the rich. The Zombies were lead by an African blue collar worker.

What was everyones favourite scene ?

I liked it when the soldier is about throw a grenade, but, his arms get chopped off and he falls on his hand, then his body explodes everywhere.

I was abit dissapointed by the ending that " Everyones just looking for a place to go". It just didn't justify the events of the movies or why the zombies grew a scence of class conciousness and ate the rich.

i just saw it yesterday and i thought it was great. it had alot of anti capitalist scense. i think it was one of the better ones out of the other 3.

Well I loved the anti-capitalist undertone but I don't think it was on par with the other three. Much better than the remakes of Dawn and Night but not nearly as good as any originals. But even a poor Romero movie is excellent for anyone else.

I enjoyed it, but you are all seriously looking into the damn movie too much.

Yeah, I mostly took it as just a bunch of zombies running around and pulling apart people's bellies with their fingers. If that's anti-capitalist, I really need it explained to me.

the rich still ruled in the zombie world, yet they all got eaten by the zombies and the poor took over and were going to start a comunity oriented fair city. seems a bit like what a lot of the people here want to do eh?(minus the zombie part) the name of the movie describes america , land of the dead, apathy of the people here.
