Newbie here...

Does anyone know the story behind it? I found it through google and I can see that it's from National Geographic. It's in Cuba somewhere I assume.
It's adorable anyways,
Peace,
Xian

Hello, Xian, are you a Chinese?

I just found a sentence "SAVE TIBET" in your signature, what's the meaning of it? Do you mean Tibet need to be saved? You think Tibet is in dangerous in China?
I'm a Chinese and living in China., I think you'd better visit Tibet by yourself!

I love pictures like that, it is great stuff to show to those people who claim that in Cuba they hate Castro and Che and the revolution and everyone involved with it.

But it's going against everything Che believed in and everything we should believe in.

Someone pointed out that they still say, "We should be like Che" or whatever, but that is shit.

They are making a personality cult, something Che vehemently opposed. And slogans like "We will be like Che" taught to young children are dangerous and mind narrowing.

Without trying to sound patronising, I realise that some who have posted are very new. Maybe you are new to Che and Socialism as well. Che would be rolling in his grave.

No I am not Chinese but I am against the restriction of Buddhism (a "religion" of peace) and the Tibetan Buddhists are peaceful people who don't threaten the state or the people. Save Tibet is a campaign to end the exile of HH the Dalai Lama in China. I am also against the illegal occupation of Palestine and I think that freedom of religion is essential even though Marx was against it. As long as they are teaching brotherhood no matter what you believe, that is ultimate freedom when you respect eachother's religion even if it is different than yours.

I don't think this is cultish- it is prasing Che for what he has given the people of Cuba. It is not worshiping I think it is just remembering what Che was about.

Peace.

I surprised for "Deutsche Ideologie"' and "Xian"s rood and ignorantwords.

The words I posted here were not mean to be impolite to anybody here. I never attack your religion, your country and yourself. What I requsted is "go this country and see the reality by your own eyes".

Half years ago, one of my net-friend from Austria come to China and visit me. What he wanted to visit is ME, but what surprised him is CHINA. This is his first time to visit Asian country, what he saw is much much beyond his imagination and his previous knowledge about China. We tranveled some city of China, we went to Hangzhou and visit some famous Budisom mountain and temple, the time near to Chinese new year, people went to the temple and give a prays. They go there freely and leave freely, they choose to believe in Budisom by themselves. My Austria friends drawed a concluion: There in China that people can believe in certain religion freely.
My friedns said: The travel in China impressed him much and much.

I know well that in some Westen countries, some people like to cover a so-called untrue "clothes" to China.
People here live a life as most of other countries, some rich, some poor, the most are living a ordinary life as the most people in this world. People here argue some unbalenced affairs and try to get a better life and living conditions. But most important is , people here are living in a peace country, no war, no kiiling. Yes, our government has some dark side, but in this forum, who dare say that your government has NO dark side? The dark side here doese not mean that China is restrict or kill the people who believe Buddism.

SO, "Deutsche Ideologie"' and "Xian", I suggest you visit China by yourself and ss if China "stop their genocide on the people of Tibet and on their beautiful religion.".

My Austria net friends will visit Tibet with his friends next year. He will have a true feeling and coclusion by himself.

Sorry for my bad English, I do hope I have a good english and tell you all exactly what I think directly.

You are absloutely fucken right.

Just because Cuba is brainwashing their kids to love our idols, doesn't make it better than the US brainwashing its kids to love George W. Bush.

Cute pic though.

The Chinese Liberation Army has killed 1.3 million Tibetans since their illegal invasion.

Alot of my family is from Beijing, I don't think you know what the hell Xian and I are talking about.

You're just another brainwashed Chinese kid living under fake Communism.

If you say that the Chinese people live where religion can be practiced freely then what in the blue hell is the Dalai Lama doing in exile and restricted to return to Tibet. Support yourself with some evidence. Oh! I almost forgot, "Deutsche Ideologie" and "Xian", I think the same way as you guys do!

Peace for Tibet! Get the Fuck out China!

So you are saying that Che is not an example to follow? I think that he is an example to not only us socialists and communists but to the rest of the world. They are not brainwashed, they are tought examples to follow and Che is certainly one.

Yes a very touching and inspiering picture. I think the reson the children are holding the picture of Che is becuse he is known as a hero in Cuba and i think thay could be showing a sort of respect for Che.
