I think that he was the best sniper in WW2. he took out so many officers of the german army. has anyone seen "Enemy at the Gates"

ah, good film. Not sure its historically 100% accurate. buts its good.

as for Vasily Zaitsev, there's a museum dedicated to him in Moscow I think. If you want to read up on him there's an article of wikipedia;

The movie "Enemy at the Gates" is not accurate at all. One example is that the Soviets were not short on weapons at all in Stalingrad, and it also portrays the Red Army commanders as inhumane and willing to slaughter people who retreated. It to me seems rather anti-Slavic and andi-communism. I have also read that it was funded by pro-Nazi Germany banks but I cannot verify it.

Isn't the museum in Stalingrad. Not many movie's are historically correct, just look at what the Americans thought that they did in "Saving Private Ryan"

He wrote a book about these events, but I couldn't find it in English :(
