1. Everything in the universe varies.

2. No human recognizes a thing devoid of invariants.

Which is true?

If (1) is true, no human recognizes anything in the universe.

Would wouldn't a human recognize anything in the universe if 1 is true?

I don't understand what the contradiction is:

var·i·ant Audio pronunciation of "variant" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (vār-nt, vr-)
adj.

1. Having or exhibiting variation; differing.
2. Tending or liable to vary; variable.
3. Deviating from a standard, usually by only a slight difference.

Of course the universe i made up of variants... as to why humans wouldn't recognize a thing devoid of invariants, all I would say is, why not?
