Today I went to a detention centre for refugees to Australia with 2 guys from the Democratic Socialist party of Australia.
Well it took us about half and hour to get past the angry guards and into the detention centre where we finally met an Iranian socialist poet who was tricked by a smuggler into boarding a boat he believed was bound for England but arrived on the west coast of Australia, when he found out from a police officer he loudly exclaimed "FUCK!" and has been in a prison for four years.
I looked around and most of the place looked shit, the tables and chairs were shit, the buildings dilapidated and looked more like hopistal wards than a place people should live for 4 years.
Mosem was the poet's name and he told me about how his good friend was deported and sent home to Columbia, only to be murdered/executed.
He told me about how nobody cares about Middle-eastern people, they just want the oil...
I could write a lot more but I won't just yet as I don't even know if people will reply...
