Anyone new to the movement needs to see this talk- Though always a hard-leaning leftie, I always had my doubts about going outside the electoral process. This convinced me, and I hope it will convince you. Everyone who posts here needs to see this. :D

Good point, hamperleft, and I am the evidence of that. Although I would like some greater understanding of what greivances some in our ranks have against Avakian. All of the Communists and Socialists I have met since my move to California seem to like him. Care to fill me in?

Hmm sorry, maybe that was to vague.

Communists generally see the former USSR as a degenerate workers state or to put it simply ' a load of bollux', it was an oppressive system that saw the death of thousands of communists. This horrific police state was mostly the architecture of 'Stalin' a man admired by Chinese Dictator, Chairman Mao.

Avakain considered himself a Maoist, and supports the same degenerate crap that was spewed out in Russia.

Communism is in a state of rebuilding its public image, what happened in Russia and China, was nothing near communist. People are begging realise this, and he threatens what little gains have been made.

Communism is a stateless, classless, society, practically identical to Anarchism. Avakain supports some fucked up form of collective dictatorship, and all true communists should be against this for many obvious reasons. Be an individual, free thinker, and be your own boss.

Anyway, it is brilliant to see you showing an interest in this kind of thing! hope you enjoy your stay here and learn all you wish to learn!!

But if we are to make the transition through Socialism to Communism, don't we need some sort of structure for the transition, rather than some Anarchical free-for-all? Nothing I have read or heard of Avakian indicates that he wants the sort of "me at the top" Stalinist dictatorship that you think he represents.

Bob Avakian makes too many generalizations and connections that just aren't there. Because of this, all of his inspiration is very short lasting and can end up actually in the long run ending revolutionary ideas in people.

Im no expert on Maoism, so this might not be an accurate explanation. But one difference between Maosim and other transitional ideas, is that the Bourgeoisie should remain in positions of power, and the class struggle must continue with a socialist government in power. So Avakain may not have to be in power, but the bourgeoisie would still be there. I don't think I need to go on...

you think he represents

He's a Maoist. Maoists support Stalinism.

I also dont like him, he thinks himself at the high road of everything, the RCP is way too centrist, and has the whole "Our leader is Bob Avakian" there is no fucking leader in communism, that isnt a communist party
