Apparently, we used depleted uranium in US hostilities in several countries, including Iraq. This depleted uranium has a half life of 4.5 billion years.

Astronomical rises in cancer, related childhood deaths, and deformities occur from this uranium poisoning.

I was wondering if anyone knew of this, or can verify this. I think this is the right place. If not, please feel free to move.

I wouldn't believe everything that Bushflash guy says, but the majority of it is right.
DU warheads used in Iraq do have the 'poisonous legacy' he claims.
Radiation given of by the unstable isotopes of Uranium in those warheads inteterfere with the process of DNA replication in our cells, leading to wrong stuff happening.
As foetus' in a womb are growing all of the time quickly, the radiation can have a profound effect.
The things that flash shows are not made up - talk to anyone who has family in Iraq and you will here stories of babies born with fused limbs, tumours, and things far more gory.
Of course mutations in DNA can lead to process of cell division never ending forming tumours - cancer.
It aint nice.... <_<

It just seems like we should all be more outraged.

Nuclear war is not something that will easily go away, it takes billions upon billions of years for it to stop radiating, and we are letting its destructive power loose.

Because tax money goes to paying for this, I was thinking of stopping my payment of taxes, anyone know a viable way to do this?

I really wouldn&#39;t do that if I were you.
Only do that if you can get enough people to join you to make the non-payment into the news.
If you can&#39;t do that you&#39;ll just go down on your own.

Yeah, not paying your taxes is a one way ticket to jail. Depleted uranium is also the most likely cause for the so called "Gulf War Syndrome" which has killed several hundred soldiers who served in the first Gulf War. The US government continues to deny its harmful effects despite evidence to the contrary.

I was thinking of getting a lot of people to stop paying taxes. That or just be ridiculously poor so i don&#39;t have to pay taxes.

I just read about the "Gulf War Syndrome". It apparently could be affecting a lot more Americans than just Gulf War vets, because DU deposits in cloth may be inhaled by others.

Du generally also slices through DNA permanently altering it. Thus, ever American solider is exposed to it, and brings it back home for the civilian population. But yes, to the original poster its true. You can find that information is you look for it hard enough. There is a good series of books called, “project censored” that has had a long track record in recording the effects of DU.
