Hello all. My name is Tristan, and I am from that infamous city of Detroit. To state the obvious, I am a revolutionary, and have been since I was 18 (I am 22 now). I am a Trotskyist. I take revolution and the task of leading one very seriously. I am joining this site because I wanted to take the opportunity to meet people just as serious as I am. I think we are entering into a period where building struggle is not only key (of course), but possible. I believe that opportunities for struggle are opening up, if not opened up already, and that now more than ever SERIOUS REVOLUTIONARIES MUST INTERVENE AND PROVIDE LEADERSHIP FOR THESE STRUGGLES.
Just to give some a warning: I can be nice, but I am very headstrong, very confident in my ideas and prepared to define and defend them. I welcome discussion and debate. However, I must emphasis that there is a way to win, and a way to lose, which can explain why some ideas are right and I embrace, and some ideas are wrong and I reject (denouce if necessary). Anything I do must have a purpose; I do not like wasting my time. There is simply just too much to do, and win I fight I fight to win. I am not a revolutionary because it makes me feel good, or because I love the "lifestyle". I am a revolutionary because capitalism sucks and is racist as shit (I am black) and I do not intend on living my days as a second-class citizen. I am a revolutionary because I know revolution is possible.
*just a side note. Sorry if I sound automatic, but it is a habit of mine to use, e.g., it is instead of it's, or I am instead of I'm.
